Erie County Clerk Angela Marinucci received endorsements from Amherst Supervisor Brian J. Kulpa and other members of the Amherst Town Board today.
“This is the moment in Erie County for new ideas and new leadership, as we’ve seen right here in Amherst,” said Amherst Supervisor Brian J. Kulpa. “I look forward to partnering with her in local government, and I am proud to endorse Angela Marinucci for Erie County Clerk.”
Councilmember Deborah Bruch Bucki noted, “Angela Marinucci will bring her private sector experience to the task of making the Clerk’s office more effective and responsive to the public.”
“As a working parent, I appreciate Angela’s emphasis on cutting wait times and giving us access to more information online,” said Councilmember Shawn A. Lavin.
Councilmember Jacqualine G. Berger praises Marinucci’s professional background “Her experience as an attorney will play a vital role in restoring professionalism to the Clerk’s Office, and she bring important balance as the first woman to hold a county-wide position since 2011.”
“The County Clerk’s office plays a key role in so many major milestones: starting a business, buying a home, and getting a driver’s license,” said Marinucci. “As an attorney, I have spent my career helping my clients navigate complex governmental systems, and I want to use those skills to help the residents of Erie County in the Clerk’s office. I am committed to ensuring that our tax dollars are spent wisely. Before elected officials ask for more money or more staff, they must ensure that they are making full use of the resources they are given.”
Marinucci has also been endorsed by Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul, the Western New York AFL-CIO, The Women’s TAP Fund, United Auto Workers and Buffalo Building Trades. She lives on Grand Island with her husband and three daughters.
