Meet Angela Marinucci

A Clerk Who Works For You!

Angela Marinucci is a long-time resident of Western New York who is passionate about public service and hopes to become Erie County Clerk to serve her community and to inspire other women to engage politically.

Angela was born and raised in Wheatfield, NY.  After graduating from Niagara Wheatfield Senior High School, she attended college at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY, where she earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Public Policy and Political Science.  She then attended law school at American University in Washington, D.C., from which she received her Juris Doctor degree before moving back to Western New York to raise her family.  She currently lives in Grand Island, NY with her husband and their three daughters.

Angela has always felt strongly about community involvement and has long participated through volunteer work.  In high school, she was selected to represent her community at Girls’ State, beginning her dedication to community and political involvement.  Since that time, Angela has interned for her federal representatives in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate as well as for a local Judge.  In law school, she was named a Marshall Brennan Scholar and taught a year-long course on constitutional law and oral advocacy to DC public high school students, promoting democratic engagement, constitutional literacy, and legal advocacy.  For her dedication to public service, Angela received the Bowman Award for Leadership and Civic Engagement from HWS Colleges and a Pro Bono Service Award from American University’s Washington College of Law for Exceptional Service Hours.  After law school graduation, Angela volunteered as a law clerk in Portland, Oregon for a pro bono firm representing children in foster care, parents in the child dependency system, and youths in the juvenile court system.

For most of her career, Angela has served as an immigration attorney and has dedicated her practice to offering first-rate and accessible legal service to U.S. citizens and foreign nationals navigating the complex immigration system.  Her experiences make her uniquely qualified to excel as a County Clerk focused on service to the people of Erie County.  Angela’s background and close connection with Erie County will enable her to make a significant contribution to the office.
